This tale of a somewhat taboo attraction, boss and employee, is all that but somehow didn’t leave the impression I anticipated. Nevertheless, this was a swoony, sexy way to pass the afternoon leaving me with sweet, warm-fuzzies.“Life is full of defining moments, ones that can bring a man to his knees and tears to his eyes.”
Opening his club has been Crew Ledger’s sole focus for months. Knee deep in business decisions and preparations he knows he’s out of his depth. He needs an administrator/manager – stat. When the last person he expects to see is hired just for that position he’s got a whole new set of decisions to make – chiefly how to deal with the burning attraction she inspires in him.

Berklee Hanson’s at her wits end. The daily grid of schlepping coffee while endlessly searching for a job to put her newly minted degree to work isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Luckily a chance interview lands her a dream job. There’s just one teeny tiny catch. Her new boss is the incredibly handsome hottie that she’s crushed on for weeks at the same coffee shop she just quit. She’s got a burning attraction that won’t be denied – even if she knows she has to draw the line at being an employee. Only an employee.

Oh man, I loved watching Crew and Berklee banter back and forth trying to deny their ever growing steamy attraction. Crew’s alpha male, growly, possessive streak up against Berklee’s sassy, stubborn independence had me grinning throughout the story. I always love that Ms. Ryan’s men are so well portrayed. Caring, good-hearted with the alpha tendencies that I love; Crew checks all the boxes. I had a few moments of disconnect with Berklee. I didn’t always understand her motivations or internal back and forth. The cheeky repartee from family and friends was so enjoyable and balanced the two very well. There’s a miscommunication device used that frustrated me a bit. It felt forced and not terribly organic; it’s a theme I’m not often fond of. That being said, the epilogue as always was a super sweet swoonfest and ended the tale in a magical place where our secret fairytale like moments come to fruition (it’s my favorite part of Ms. Ryan’s stories) and left me grinning ear to ear.
“Nothing and no one can change my mind on this. I want you, and we are happening.”
If you’re looking for a light-hearted, fun treat then look no further. Although I Just Want You is not a top favorite of mine, it’s sassy and sexy rolled into a tale that’ll leave you feeling swoony and entertained.

If you want a hot, steamy, swoony & funny read then you want to 1-click this today. Kaylee Ryan knocks this out of the park with hit book. Baylee & Crew are smoking hot together. The chemistry is of the charts! Who hasn't had a crush on their boss before. I know I have and boy I sure wished it turned out the way it did with Baylee and Crew. This book hits all the feelers and more. This is a 5 star read and a must have. I Just want more Baylee and Crew!
There hasn't been a book by Kaylee Ryan that I have not absolutely loved and I Just Want You is no exception. As a matter fact, it just might be my favorite. You have got to read this book and meet Berklee and Crew!
Berklee never dreamed that her dream job would land her in the arms of the man she's fantasized about, but that's just what happens when she gets hired at the new club Titan and the owner is the sexy man she's been selling coffee.
Crew never dreamed the sexy barista would be interviewing for the position of club administrator. You can feel the chemistry bubbling off the pages the first time they meet, but when Crew thinks his best friend, Zane, who already knew Berklee, has a thing for her, the red hot alpha meter starts to go off.
Crew doesn't really date, but Berklee has him totally off kilter. Berklee doesn't want to mess up her job, but she can't stop the pull she has towards Crew. Berklee and Crew decide on a friends with benefits deal so they can get this insane attraction out of their system. All too soon the sexy alpha in him knows that he will never get enough. And if he were mine, that man would have all he wanted. He is all kinds of hot and sexy! Will Berklee risk her heart and give into more, or will this arrangement ruin everything?
All the characters both main and supporting are fun and make this story what it is. Friendship and family are strong in this book and made me love it even more. This book will put a smile on your face and make your heart race. It's hot, sexy, fun and touching. I love this book and can't wait to listen to it on audio. Five stars just aren't enough!
I had higher hopes for this novel. It started off alright. From the beginning, I could tell I was in for a new adult romance told in the voice I've come to know and appreciate as Kaylee Ryan's. I heard rumors that this one was going to be hotter than normal for her, and I looked forward to that. It took a while to work her way there, but eventually, I saw that people were right. The heat was hotter than she typically writes....at least for a minute.
For most of the novel, I was content to give it four stars. The story was a bit predictable almost right away, but for me it wasn't in a bad way. It was just safe. It felt rushed in a few places but I was willing to put up with it for a while. I kind of liked Crew and his possessiveness...at least for a minute. Then I remember getting to around 82% thinking...the conflict I know needs to happen before this book can be over hasn't hit yet, which made me a little curious....then I kept reading, and I got a little worried. Then the plot took a massive nose-dive for me.
I won't give any spoilers, but as you read, Kaylee kind of does that on her own. In an instant, one page after another lead to a wildly predictable and cliche conflict that exploded really fast. Crew's possessiveness went from slightly overbearing and kind of hot to ridiculous and immature. And the conflict was resolved so quickly that if you blink you'd miss the whole thing. The angst of it all was handled poorly and I think there could have been so much growth for both characters explored in the conflict resolution had Kaylee given it time, but it was all rushed.
By the time I got to the end, I was just ready for it to be over. I just wanted better. I wanted to be surprised, and I wasn't, which left me disappointed. It wasn't poorly written, just not developed very well. Overall, it has that sweet, new adult romance feel that you can expect from Kaylee; so if you're a fan, dive right in.
